Wenger: 'Holloway exit was harsh'

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has hailed the "talent" possessed by Ian Holloway following his departure from Crystal Palace.

The 50-year-old left Selhurst Park this week by mutual consent after picking up just one victory out of eight Premier League fixtures.

Pressure surrounding Holloway's job mounted following Monday night's 4-1 defeat to Fulham, but Wenger thinks that Holloway's departure was a "harsh" outcome.

"Ian Holloway has exceptional talent to manage a football team, it was harsh to see him go," Wenger said in a press conference.

Wenger's Arsenal side will face Palace at Selhurst Park tomorrow.
