Palace ready to offer Speroni new deal

Tony Pulis has revealed that he is ready to offer goalkeeper Julian Speroni a new contract at Crystal Palace.

The 34-year-old, who has spent 10 years at Selhurst Park, has indicated his desire to stay although he admits that his future is in the club's hands, but Pulis is willing to extend Speroni's tenure in South London.

"Speroni, along with half a dozen of the other players, has been absolutely superb since I have come into the club," Pulis told the press.

"Of course [I would like to keep him] and he has been at the club how long? For 15 years? Or 120 years or whatever it is."

Speroni has made over 300 appearances for Palace since joining from Dundee in 2004.
