Mile Jedinak in dark over Crystal Palace managerial appointment

Mile Jedinak insists that he will keep in close contact with his Crystal Palace teammates as he prepares to jet off for the Asian Cup in Australia.

Crystal Palace skipper Mile Jedinak has insisted that the club's search for a new manager will not distract players on the field.

Alan Pardew is widely expected to take over as Eagles boss in the coming days after watching the goalless draw against Aston Villa from the stands yesterday afternoon.

The former Newcastle United chief will take over a Palace side who are without a win in nine games and currently camped inside the bottom three.

"I haven't heard anything about an announcement; I've not heard anything about that," Jedinak, who is due to link up with the Australia squad ahead of this month's Asian Cup, told reporters.

"I'll wait and see what happens. Regarding my situation with Palace, I keep in contact with my teammates, who keep me in the loop on things. I haven't done in the last few days. If that all changes, it might change. But at the moment I haven't [made contact]."

Jedinak has made 15 appearances for Palace this season in all competitions.
