Crystal Palace boss Alan Pardew: 'We are being hunted down'

Crystal Palace boss Alan Pardew refuses to accept that his team are safe in the Premier League amid a run of 13 league games without a win.

Crystal Palace boss Alan Pardew has claimed that his team are being 'hunted down' in the Premier League table.

The Eagles were in touch with the top four entering 2016, but they are currently on a run of 13 league games without a victory, which has seen them slide into 16th position in the division.

Palace are still seven points clear of the relegation zone, but Pardew has insisted that his team are far from safe as they prepare to travel to top-four chasing West Ham United on Saturday afternoon.

"It's a little bit easier when you have the points under your belt to look at other teams and say they'll be fine, but we're not, we in a run of form in the league, we have no momentum in the league and we are going to have to grind it out. We're not sleepwalking, not day-dreaming, we are fully committed to getting the points as soon as we can," Pardew told reporters.

"We're just trying to get the points we need before the semi-final. We have a challenge in front of us, the teams below us are now going to hunt points and hunt it down, and unfortunately we are in a position to catch so we have to really up our game. Our desire and commitment can't be faulted but we need to turn that into one or two victories."

Only the bottom four teams have lost more league games than Palace (15) this season.
