Mathias Pogba nearing Crewe Alexandra return

Crewe Alexandra boss Steve Davis has revealed that Mathias Pogba is close to returning to first-team training with the League One outfit.

The 23-year-old has not played this season after picking up a knee injury in the summer, but has been cleared to return to the fold.

"We'll just have to assess how he recovers after running, but it is looking really positive with him and every manager would like to have his better players available as much as possible," Davis told the club's official website.

Pogba, who is the brother of Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba, scored 15 times for Crewe last season.
