Newcastle United consider Gael Bigirimana swoop

Newcastle United are reportedly interested in signing Coventry City starlet Gael Bigirimana.

The 18-year-old midfielder made his Football League debut for the Sky Blues last season, before going on to make 28 appearances in all competitions.

Bigirimana is rated highly by manager Andy Thorn. However, Newcastle's scouts have also been impressed by the player, according to the Daily Mail.

It is believed that Coventry may struggle to hold on to Bigirimana following their relegation to League One.
