Sunderland plan Christian Atsu bid?

Sunderland will reportedly make a bid for Chelsea forward Christian Atsu if he is recalled from his loan spell with Everton.

Sunderland have reportedly identified Christian Atsu as a transfer target for January's window, despite the striker currently being on loan at Everton.

The Chelsea forward has started just three games for the Toffees this season, which is believed to have angered the Stamford Bridge side and led to speculation that he could be recalled.

According to The Mirror, Sunderland would be keen to sign the Ghana international if he returns to his parent club.

Atsu spent last season on loan with Dutch side Vitesse, scoring five goals in 28 appearances.
