Sheffield Wednesday sign Chelsea's Sam Hutchinson on loan

Chelsea defender Sam Hutchinson joins Championship side Sheffield Wednesday on a short-term loan deal.

Sheffield Wednesday have completed the signing of Chelsea defender Sam Hutchinson on a 28-day emergency loan deal.

The 24-year-old becomes the Championship club's second signing of the loan window, following the capture of striker Leon Best.

Wednesday boss Stuart Gray admitted this week that he wanted to bring in new players before Saturday's FA Cup tie against Charlton Athletic.

Hutchinson, who spent the first half of this season on loan at Vitesse Arnhem, made nine appearances for Nottingham Forest last season during a loan spell with the Championship side.

He will wear shirt number 41 at Hillsborough.
