Sevilla director of football Monchi has said that the Spanish club would be open to selling Jules Kounde before the end of this summer's transfer window.
The France international has been strongly linked with Chelsea over the last few weeks and is believed to be the London club's leading defensive target in the current market.
Monchi has revealed that Thomas Tuchel's side have not yet made an offer for Kounde, but Sevilla would be open to selling, as the La Liga outfit are always looking to strengthen their squad.
"Many clubs have asked for Kounde. Of course there's interest but no official bid on the table. I don't know what's gonna happen... if an important bid arrives, we'll sell as this is our policy to improve the team," Monchi told reporters when questioned on the defender.
The 22-year-old, who was in action for his country at Euro 2020, was also strongly linked with Manchester United before the Red Devils switched their attention to Raphael Varane.
Kounde made 49 appearances for Sevilla during the 2020-21 campaign, contributing four goals and one assist, while he still has three years left to run on his contract at Estadio Ramon.
