Report: West Ham United end Samuel Eto'o interest

West Ham United have reportedly ended their interest in Samuel Eto'o after he asked for a £120,000-per-week salary.

The former Chelsea striker is a free agent after coming to the end of his contract at Stamford Bridge, and is understood to have met with the Hammers earlier this week.

According to The Mirror, the club did not think the Cameroon international was worth the money, while they were also concerned that he would not be physically ready for the start of the season.

Eto'o scored 12 goals in 35 appearances for Chelsea last season.
