Report: Real Madrid to offer £50m for Kepa Arrizabalaga

Real Madrid are reportedly plotting a £50m move for Chelsea goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga, a year after he joined the Blues in a near-£72m deal.

Chelsea goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga will reportedly be given the chance to return to Spain ahead of next season as Real Madrid are ready to table a £50m bid.

The 24-year-old usurped Alisson Becker as the world's most expensive goalkeeper last summer when joining the Blues in a £71.6m deal from Athletic Bilbao.

Kepa has had a mixed first season in English football, which will be best remembered for his refusal to leave the field during Chelsea's EFL Cup final defeat to Manchester City in February.

Despite failing to live up to his price tag, TEAMtalk claims that the Spain international's reputation remains strong in his homeland and Madrid are plotting a move.

Los Blancos were keen to sign Kepa this time last year and they are said to retain an interest eight months after he completed his switch to Chelsea, having been priced out of a move for top target David de Gea.

Kepa has kept 12 clean sheets for Chelsea in the Premier League this season, behind only Alisson (17) and Ederson (16).
