Report: Ramires to sign new Chelsea deal

A report claims that Ramires will shortly sign a new four-year contract with Premier League champions Chelsea.

Chelsea will reportedly announce that Ramires has signed a new contract with the club in the near future.

The Brazilian international, who is currently contracted to Stamford Bridge until the summer of 2017, has been linked with a move to Juventus in recent months.

However, according to the London Evening Standard, the midfielder is highly regarded by Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho, who was keen to tie Ramires down to a new deal.

The report adds that the length of the 28-year-old's fresh terms is likely to be four years, worth in excess of £70,000 a week.

Ramires joined the Blues in a deal worth around £16m from Benfica in August 2010.
