Alvaro Pereira dismisses Serie A link

Chelsea target Alvaro Pereira has said that speculation linking him with a move to Italy is "just rumours".

The 27-year-old, who was speaking after Uruguay's 0-0 draw with France last night, insisted that he is focused on playing for Porto.

"I'm a Porto player and I'm not talking about my future," said Pereira. "There are a lot of rumours, but I'm just thinking about training hard for a club which I am very attached to.

"I'm just focused on Porto. I have a number of international colleagues who play in Italy, and I watch the championship when I can, but all I am hearing are just rumours."

Pereira, who has 39 caps for his country, joined Porto from CFR Cluj in 2009.
