Chelsea's John Obi Mikel 'denies Galatasaray comments'

Chelsea midfielder John Obi Mikel has reportedly denied claiming that he is poised to join Galatasaray this summer.

The 26-year-old was quoted by a Turkish newspaper as saying that he had agreed terms with the club ahead of a proposed £7m switch from the Premier League outfit.

Following the news, Mikel, who currently remains a Chelsea player, is believed to have denied speaking to the publication, according to The Independent.

Mikel has been at Stamford Bridge since 2006.
