Diego Maradona wants Frank Lampard

Al Wasl coach Diego Maradona will reportedly make an offer to sign Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard in the summer.

England international Lampard is said to be considering his future at Stamford Bridge, having seen his squad status alter in recent months.

Argentine legend Maradona, currently managing in Dubai, is willing to offer the 33-year-old a £6m-a-year contract to join him in the UAE, according to The People.

However, Maradona is believed to be facing competition from Inter Milan and Paris Saint-Germain for Lampard's signature.
