Romelu Lukaku happy to leave Chelsea on loan

Romelu Lukaku says that he is willing to secure another loan move to play regular football but wants to fight for his place at Chelsea.

Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku has insisted that he wants to stay and fight for his place at the club but admits that he is willing to endure another spell away from Stamford Bridge on loan.

The Belgian international spent the whole of the previous campaign on loan at West Bromwich Albion and proved a big success at The Hawthorns.

While he is keen to become a Blues regular, Lukaku concedes that he will do whatever it takes to be playing regular first-team football.

"It's up to me and it's up the manager as well. I think I have to first have a conversation and to see what his plans are and then, you know, we'll see from there, but I'm ready to go over there and do my best," Lukaku told talkSPORT.

"It's always been my first ambition to play over there but I have to be realistic - I'm 20 years old and I need to play, so we'll see what will happen.

"I'm very proud to be a Chelsea player. I think I've had a very good season on loan so now I will go back over there and show my qualities. Hopefully I will stay there but in football you never know, so we'll see what will happen in the future."

Lukaku scored 17 goals for the Baggies last season.
