Hazard 'agrees personal terms with Madrid'

Chelsea winger Eden Hazard has reportedly agreed personal terms with Real Madrid ahead of his proposed summer move to the Bernabeu.

Madrid are understood to have identified Hazard as their number one target to replace Cristiano Ronaldo this summer after Kylian Mbappe ruled out the possibility of leaving Paris Saint-Germain.

Hazard has repeatedly hinted that he would be open to joining Madrid at some stage of his career, and Matteo Pedrosi of Calciomercato claims that he has now agreed personal terms with the European champions.

However, the two clubs are yet to agree a fee for the 27-year-old, with Chelsea rejecting Madrid's first offer of around €120m (£107m).

Madrid are expected to return with an improved bid later today, although some reports have suggested that Chelsea will refuse to sell for anything less than €200m (£178.3m), which would make Hazard the second-most expensive player of all time.

Hazard's Chelsea teammate Thibaut Courtois is also thought to be on the verge of moving to Madrid, with the two clubs reportedly agreeing on a £31m fee for the Belgian.
