Giroud in discussions with French side Lyon?

Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas has met with Chelsea striker Olivier Giroud to discuss a summer transfer, according to a report.

The France international admitted earlier this week that he is "frustrated" to only be considered for Europa League selection by Blues boss Maurizio Sarri.

Giroud has hit double figures for the season in terms of goals, including a hat-trick in the recent European win over Dynamo Kiev, which he followed up with goals in back-to-back games for France against Moldova and Iceland.

A move back to his home country appears to be on the cards, as Le Parisien claims Lyon are looking to lure him back.

Aulas and Giroud are said to have sat down over the international break in the hope of reaching personal terms, though the Kids must still agree a fee with Chelsea, with an offer of £13m likely to be enough.

West Ham United and Wolverhampton Wanderers have also been linked with the former Arsenal striker in recent months.
