Borussia Dortmund are reportedly in advanced talks to sign Chelsea defender Andreas Christensen in the summer.

Borussia Dortmund have reportedly emerged as a potential destination for Chelsea defender Andreas Christensen.

With less than six months remaining on his contract, the 25-year-old can hold discussions with foreign clubs regarding a free transfer in the summer.

Chelsea have attempted to negotiate a new long-term deal with the Denmark international for months without success, leaving them at risk of losing an important player.

According to Sport1 journalist Patrick Berger, Dortmund have opened discussions with Christensen and are confident of agreeing terms.

Berger suggests that the communication have been extensive with the Bundesliga outfit attempting to see off the likes of Barcelona in the race for the centre-back's signature.

Despite being in and out of Thomas Tuchel's starting lineup of late, Christensen has still made 20 starts in all competitions this season.
