Chelsea to trade Batshuayi for Dzeko?

Chelsea have reportedly added Roma striker Edin Dzeko to their list of January transfer targets and are willing to use Michy Batshuayi as a makeweight in any deal.

The Blues' desperate search for a new forward player has already seen them show a rumoured interest in Andy Carroll, Fernando Llorente and Stoke City's Peter Crouch.

Sky Sport Italia suggests that the Premier League champions have already approached Roma over a move for Dzeko, however, and have informed the Italian club that they are willing to negotiate.

Chelsea also have a confirmed interest in teammate Emerson Palmieri, and it is claimed they will pay the equivalent of £44m for both players, with Batshuayi likely to be offered as a loan option.

Roma are said to want at least £10m more for the pair, though, as Dzeko boasts 12 goals for the Giallorossi this term, including a brace against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.
