Report: Chelsea in pole position to sign PSV Eindhoven's Zakaria Bakkali

Chelsea are in pole position ahead of Liverpool to sign PSV Eindhoven winger Zakaria Bakkali, according to reports.

The Belgian international has been heavily linked with a move away from the Phillips Stadion in recent months, following his refusal to sign a new contract with the Eredivisie giants.

According to the Daily Star, sources in Spain have claimed that the Blues are closing in on the promising 18-year-old, with Brendan Rodgers set to come up short.

Bakkali is the youngest Eredivisie player of all-time to score a hat-trick, at the age of 17 years and 196 days against NEC Nijmegen in August 2013.
