Report: Chelsea to table £27m offer for Everton defender Seamus Coleman

Chelsea are looking to sign Everton defender Seamus Coleman in the close season, according to reports.

The 26-year-old was signed by the Toffees six years ago from Irish club Sligo Rovers and has since established himself as one of the most consistent full-backs in the Premier League.

According to the Daily Mail, the Blues are to make a bid worth £27m for Coleman in the summer, while Everton have begun to look for replacements should he leave Goodison Park.

Coleman, a Gaelic footballer in his youth, has made 148 appearances for Roberto Martinez's side.
