Chelsea sign Christian Atsu from Porto, loan him to Vitesse Arnhem

Chelsea have completed the signing of Christian Atsu from Porto and have immediately sent him on loan to Vitesse Arnhem for the season.

The Ghanaian international, who reportedly also attracted interest from Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur, has signed a five-year contract at Stamford Bridge.

Atsu, 21, joined Porto three-and-a-half years ago from Cheetah FC in his homeland.

He broke into Porto's first team last year, making 17 league appearances as they won the Portuguese league title.
