Barcelona allegedly edge out Chelsea to win the race to sign Las Palmas youngster Pedri.

Barcelona have reportedly agreed a fee for Las Palmas youngster Pedri.

While the Catalan giants have seemingly been focusing their attentions on first-team additions this summer, it appears that work has been conducted behind the scenes with regards to the future.

According to Marca, the La Liga champions have been successful with their attempt to sign Pedri, who is just 16 years of age.

Despite his inexperience, the teenager has already made three outings for Las Palmas this season, and Barcelona are happy for the second-tier side to keep the prospect for the remainder of the campaign.

The report claims that Barca, who are said to have seen off Chelsea to sign Pedri, will pay €5m (£4.54m).
