Report: Atletico Madrid, Chelsea to fight over Napoli left-back Faouzi Ghoulam

Napoli and Algeria left-back Faouzi Ghoulam is on the radar of both Atletico Madrid and Chelsea, according to reports.

Atletico Madrid have decided to join Chelsea in the race to sign Napoli left-back Faouzi Ghoulam, according to reports.

The Algeria international, who joined the Serie A giants from Saint-Etienne in 2014, has made 19 appearances in all competitions this season, scoring six goals.

According to Calciomercato, Blues boss Antonio Conte is looking at options to challenge Marcos Alonso's position in the team, but Los Colchoneros are also looking for reinforcements at the back.

Ghoulam, 25, will play in the Africa Cup of Nations with his country next month.
