Anzhi Makhachkala target Ashley Cole

Big-spending Russian club Anzhi Makhachkala are reportedly considering a transfer bid for Chelsea defender Ashley Cole.

Anzhi will offer the England star £200,000 a week, according to The Sun.

The Russian side have already signed big names such as Roberto Carlos, Yuri Zhirkov and Samuel Eto'o, and they have recently expressed interest in signing Premier League stars Steven Gerrard and Frank Lampard.

The FA were forced to deny yesterday that Anzhi had offered England boss Fabio Capello a coaching job.
