Nathan Ake: 'I want loan move to English club'

Chelsea midfielder Nathan Ake believes that it "would be best" for him to move on loan to another English club next season.

Chelsea midfielder Nathan Ake has insisted that he has no regrets about committing his long-term future to the Blues.

Ake signed a five-year contract at Stamford Bridge last summer, but he only made one senior appearance for Jose Mourinho's side over the course of the season, which came as a substitute against Cardiff City on the final weekend.

However, despite being happy in West London, Ake believes that a loan move away from the club would aid his development.

The 19-year-old told Voetbal International: "I think about the game totally differently. I have had no regrets about my choice, and I have developed well.

"Next season, I want to be playing minutes. A loan spell at an English club would be best."

Ake, who helped Chelsea's reserve side to league and cup success last season, is a regular in the Netherlands Under-21 squad.
