Chelsea team news: Injury, suspension list vs. Leeds United

Chelsea will be desperate to secure a return to winning ways in the Premier League when Leeds United welcome them to Elland Road on Wednesday evening.

The Blues were in control against Wolverhampton Wanderers on Saturday thanks to Romelu Lukaku's double but were pegged back to a dramatic 2-2 draw through Francisco Trincao and Conor Coady's late goals.

Thomas Tuchel's side still have their third-placed destiny in their own hands, but Arsenal cut the gap to just one point with victory over Jesse Marsch's side on Sunday.

N'Golo Kante was dealing with unspecified pain in the clash with Manchester United and subsequently missed the weekend's draw with Wolves, but that game only came a "little too early" for the Frenchman, so he might force his way back into the squad here.

Similarly, Jorginho had to be withdrawn in the recent defeat to Everton at Goodison Park - the nature of his issue is unclear, but Tuchel has now admitted that the midfielder will be absent for "some games", likely ruling him out of the FA Cup final too.

Ben Chilwell remains on the long road to recovery from knee surgery and is already confirmed to be missing the remainder of the season.

Callum Hudson-Odoi's Achilles injury is being closely monitored by the Blues on a weekly basis, but at this stage the Englishman does not appear to be close to returning to the team anytime soon.
