Armando Broja will start his first game for Chelsea in Wednesday's Premier League fixture at Brentford.

Armando Broja has been handed his first Chelsea start in Wednesday's Premier League fixture at Brentford.

Since being promoted to Chelsea's first-team squad in the summer, the academy graduate has been restricted to 10 substitute appearances totalling 178 minutes.

However, the Albania international will finally make his bow from the start against the Bees with Graham Potter making widespread changes to his first XI.

Most notably, the Blues will revert to a back four, with Cesar Azpilicueta and Marc Cucurella operating at full-back with Thiago Silva and Ben Chilwell being handed a rest.

In midfield, Mateo Kovacic also drops out of the side to allow Jorginho to return to the fold, and he is joined in the centre of the pitch by Conor Gallagher.

As well as Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang only being named among the replacements to accommodate Broja, Raheem Sterling is also only selected on the substitutes' bench.

Brentford: Raya; Roerslev, Mee, Zanka, Pinnock, Henry; Janelt, Jensen, Onyeka; Mbuemo, Toney

Subs: Cox, Canos, Dasilva, Wissa, Ghoddos, Ajer, Lewis-Potter, Damsgaard, Baptiste

Chelsea: Arrizabalaga; Azpilicueta, Chalobah, Koulibaly, Cucurella; Gallagher, Jorginho, Loftus-Cheek; Mount, Broja, Havertz

Subs: Mendy, Silva, Chukwuemeka, Kovacic, Zakaria, Sterling, Pulisic, Ziyech, Aubameyang
