Police track down "choc ice" tweeter

Police have confirmed that they have spoken to the man that called Chelsea left-back Ashley Cole a "choc ice" on Twitter.

The unnamed male, operating under the alias @CarltonEBanks, sent Manchester United's Rio Ferdinand a public message last month insulting Cole for defending John Terry during his trial for allegedly racially abusing Rio's brother Anton Ferdinand.

A police spokesman told The Mirror: "We can confirm we have spoken to a 45-year-old man in connection with alleged racist comments."

Terry was found not guilty by Westminster Magistrates' Court. However, he has since been charged by the FA regarding the incident. He denies the charge.
