Liverpool lineup vs. Chelsea: Predicted lineup for Premier League clash as Arne Slot rotates

Salah records, Slot rotation: Predicted Liverpool XI vs. Chelsea

Liverpool head coach Arne Slot has confirmed that he will tinker with his team for the remainder of the Premier League season, starting with Sunday's trip to face Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.

The Reds won the title with four games to spare last weekend, coming from behind to obliterate Tottenham Hotspur 5-1 at Anfield, where they were crowned champions of England for the 20th time.

With the medals already around their necks, Liverpool boss Slot will not pass up the opportunity to rotate his resources, although Mohamed Salah should not be handed any respite amid his pursuit of multiple records.

Now on 28 goals and 18 assists in the 2024-25 Premier League, the Egyptian is one involvement away from equalling the all-time best for a single season in the competition, and another goal would also see him match Didier Drogba's record for the most strikes by an over-30 player in one campaign.

Salah, Cody Gakpo and Luis Diaz should continue in tandem up front, although if reports suggesting that Liverpool must pay Benfica £4.2m if Darwin Nunez starts another game are false as Slot has insisted they are, the Uruguayan should be a candidate to start too.

Central changes are likely, though, and Harvey Elliott will surely now come into contention for a first start of the Premier League season, while Alexis Mac Allister could be afforded a rest as Curtis Jones and Ryan Gravenberch link arms.

Conor Bradley may return from a knock to make the squad, but Trent Alexander-Arnold's farewell tour should continue with the Englishman starting, although Kostas Tsimikas and Jarell Quansah can realistically expect promotion from the bench.

Liverpool possible starting lineup: Alisson; Alexander-Arnold, Quansah, Van Dijk, Tsimikas; Gravenberch, Jones; Salah, Elliott, Gakpo; Diaz
