Willian: 'Chelsea can make statement against Leicester City'

Chelsea midfielder Willian says that Chelsea can make a statement ahead of next season with victory over Premier League champions Leicester City.

Chelsea midfielder Willian has said that he and his teammates are motivated to secure victory over champions Leicester City in the final game of the season.

The Blues have little but pride to play for after a disappointing campaign while Leicester travel to Stamford Bridge as Premier League title winners after a remarkable nine months in the top flight.

Chelsea had hoped to successfully defend the trophy that they won last season, but Willian feels that they can make a statement before the summer if they can get the better of the Foxes.

The 27-year-old told the club's official website: "It can show Chelsea are getting closer to being back at the level we want to be at, no doubt.

"We have to finish well. We are playing at home as well. Of course they are already champions but we were champions last season and we have to show that quality to try to win the game."

The West Londoners will finish in ninth position if they can register three points on Sunday afternoon.
