Chelsea boss Andre Villas-Boas backs John Terry ahead of the FA Cup tie with QPR.

Chelsea boss Andre Villas-Boas has insisted that he has had no doubts about playing captain John Terry ahead of the trip to Queens Park Rangers on Saturday afternoon.

The Portuguese boss has also praised his skipper for his performances in recent weeks, making it clear that he will feature in the FA Cup tie at Loftus Road.

"John Terry is one of the greatest central defenders in the world, maybe one of the best ever in the game. I have no doubts about him," Villas-Boas told The Sun.

"He is a player we hold in the highest esteem and a person I have great empathy with and great respect for. Whichever route our lives take, JT is a person I will always hold as a friend.

"He is fully fit and available and his recent displays with David Luiz have been fantastic. They are both players we will count on against QPR."

Terry has made 515 appearances for the Blues.
