John Terry questioned by police over alleged racist remarks

Terry questioned by police

John Terry has been questioned under caution by police over allegations that he racially abused Queens Park Rangers defender Anton Ferdinand.

The Chelsea and England skipper is under investigation by both the Football Association and the Metropolitan Police after television football appeared to show him making racist remarks towards Ferdinand during Chelsea's 1-0 defeat to QPR last month.

Detectives from Hammersmith and Fulham took a statement from the 30-year-old at his Surrey home last Friday.

The police are continuing to compile statements surrounding the allegations, and it is believed that a decision on whether or not to charge Terry will be made around Christmas.

Terry denies the accusations.
