John Terry: 'Chelsea have more to give'

Chelsea captain John Terry is satisfied with their position in the Premier League title race, but insists that the Blues will still improve as the season goes on.

John Terry is content with Chelsea's position in the Premier League title race but has insisted that they are still going to improve as the season goes on.

The Blues captain helped his side shut out Arsenal in their 0-0 draw on Monday to ensure that they are only two points off the top of the table at Christmas.

Terry has admitted that the championship is up for grabs by as many as "four or five teams", so has urged Chelsea to go on a winning streak to try to put some distance between themselves and their rivals.

"Home and away we have still got a lot more to give," he told Sky Sports News.

"We're quietly happy with where we are at the moment. We are amongst the pack of four or five teams who are looking good at the moment going into Christmas. In the New Year we hope to put a good run together.

"It's wide open. It's exciting. If we can put a good run together of five, 10 games it's then down to anyone to pull away."

The Stamford Bridge outfit host Swansea City on Boxing Day before welcoming Liverpool to London.
