John Terry: 'Chelsea are not boring'

Chelsea captain John Terry insists that the team is not boring, following criticism of their playing style.

John Terry has hit back at Chelsea's critics by claiming that the team is "definitely not boring".

The Blues were accused of adopting negative tactics on Sunday during their 0-0 draw with Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium.

After coming away from North London with a share of the spoils, Chelsea need just two more wins to clinch the Premier League title.

Despite criticism of his side's style of play, Terry insists that he and his teammates are far from dull when they take to the pitch.

"We are definitely not boring and, if we do go on to win it, nobody's going to remember the performances when perhaps it's not been that exciting," he is quoted as saying by the Daily Star. "But we've dug deep and other teams haven't done and that is why they are so far behind us.

"Possession is great, we could see that from the Manchester United game last week. Possession and tippy-tappy football's great, but if you are not winning games you're not going to win the league."

Chelsea can take a step closer to the title on Wednesday when they face Leicester City at the King Power Stadium.
