Ramires hungry for more

Brazilian midfielder Ramires is determined to win more trophies with Chelsea and has admitted that expectations for next season are already higher.

The Blues won both the FA Cup and the Champions League under interim manager Roberto Di Matteo at the end of the campaign, with Ramires scoring a crucial goal in the semi-final second leg of the European competition.

The 25-year-old was one of the club's most impressive performers last year and is hoping to continue his progress.

"I now have to keep playing well. Expectations will be much higher from now on," said Ramires.

"God willing, I want to win the Champions League again and win important awards. I'll keep working hard to achieve that."

The former Benfica man was named Chelsea's Player of the Year by his teammates and says that he was touched by the decision.

"That made me very happy. It was hard to guess who would win it because it's the teammates that vote.

"When I received the award, I came to the conclusion that this was really a blessed year for me."

Ramires has earned 27 caps for Brazil.
