Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has praised John Terry for his contribution to the side this season.
The Blues captain struggled to hold down a first-team place at Stamford Bridge during the last campaign, but he has made 23 appearances in all competitions following Mourinho's return over the summer.
The Portuguese now hopes that the 33-year-old maintains his form heading into a busy Christmas period.
"John is very solid, very focused with the ball he makes the right choice, and without the ball he is also very focused," Mourinho is quoted as saying by Sky Sports News.
"I think he is having a very good season. Let's see if he can keep going this way because he has been fantastic."
Chelsea travel to Sunderland on Tuesday in the quarter-finals of the League Cup.
