FC Utrecht vs. Nottingham Forest team news: Sean Dyche makes nine changes for Europa League fixture

FC Utrecht, Nottingham Forest starting lineups confirmed! Dyche makes nine changes for Europa League game

Nottingham Forest head coach Sean Dyche has made as many as nine changes for Thursday's Europa League fixture against FC Utrecht.

After last weekend's 3-0 defeat at Everton, Dyche has taken the decision to rest a wide array of players ahead of the Christmas and New Year schedule.

Only Morato and Dan Ndoye have retained their places from the humbling at the Hill Dickinson Stadium on Saturday.

Most notably for Forest, key defender Murillo is able to make his first appearance since November 27 after injury and illness.

Oleksandr Zinchenko features for the first time since the end of October, while academy graduate Zach Abbott gets a second successive Europa League start at right-back.

Meanwhile, Douglas Luiz is also available again and makes his first appearance since lasting just 11 minutes against Manchester United on November 1.

Utrecht make three changes for Nottingham Forest game

As for Utrecht, head coach Ron Jans has made three alterations for the game at Stadion Galgenwaard.

Former West Ham United forward Sebastien Haller returns to the attack, while ex-Swansea City centre-back Mike van der Hoorn has dropped to the substitutes' bench.

Dani de Wit will switch to a deeper role to accommodate Haller's return, with Victor Jensen not involved presumably due to the issue that led to his 61st-minute withdrawal against FC Twente.

FC Utrecht XI: Barkas; Horemans, Eerdhuijzen, Didden, El Karouani; Engwanda, Zechiel, De Wit; Rodriguez, Haller, Cathline

Subs: Blake, Bozdogan, Brouwer, El Arguioui, Eversen, Finnsson, Iqbal, Jonathans, Van der Hoorn, Van Ommeren, Viergever

Nottingham Forest XI: John; Abbott, Morato, Murillo, Zinchenko; Luiz, Dominguez; Ndoye, McAtee, Hudson-Odoi; Kalimuendo

Subs: Bott, Willows, Williams, Sangare, Anderson, Gibbs-White, I.Jesus, Bakwa, Boly, Milenkovic, Savona
