Jose Mourinho planning for next decade at Chelsea

Jose Mourinho believes that Chelsea are in a good position to deliver regular success for the next decade.

Jose Mourinho has claimed that the plans he is putting together at Chelsea are with a view to dominating English football for the next decade.

Despite falling short in the Premier League and Champions League last season, Mourinho is confident that his squad are improving at a rate which means they can be confident of being successful for a number of years.

"If I didn't think we would win the Premier League I would go home and let somebody else take charge of the team," the Chelsea boss told reporters. "At Chelsea, if we didn't think we could win the league, or didn't think we had the quality to do it, we wouldn't be here working so hard.

"A team which has been a winning team for 10 seasons is changing step by step.

"This summer we've bought new players and we are trying to build for the next decade, and this season we think we are going to be stronger. The younger players are more experienced, they are stable and better adapted to fighting for titles."

Chelsea have signed Filipe Luis, Diego Costa and Cesc Fabregas this summer.
