Jose Mourinho criticises Ruben Loftus-Cheek

Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho accuses 19-year-old midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek of faking an injury in Tuesday's 1-0 friendly win over Sydney FC.

Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho has accused Ruben Loftus-Cheek of faking an injury in Tuesday's 1-0 friendly win over Sydney FC.

Loftus-Cheek made three league appearances for the Blues towards the end of the 2014-15 campaign and has been tipped to make the breakthrough at Stamford Bridge next term.

However, Mourinho believes that the 19-year-old fabricated an injury during the friendly in Australia and has criticised the youngster.

"He said it was a pain in his back but to me it looked like he only had that pain when Sydney had the ball," Mourinho told reporters after the match.

Loftus-Cheek has been with Chelsea since 2004.
