Nemanja Matic heaps praise on Jose Mourinho preparation

Nemanja Matic praises Jose Mourinho for his pre-match preparation before the victory over Manchester City.

Nemanja Matic has praised Jose Mourinho for the way he prepared the Chelsea team before the 1-0 victory over Manchester City on Monday.

Chelsea's tactics made life difficult for City, who had previously won all of their home matches this season, and Matic admitted that the credit should go to Mourinho.

"We prepared very good, the coach showed us some videos of Manchester City and of course they were the right videos to show the quality but also where they make mistake," Matic told reporters.

"We cannot say what we prepared because it is only for us, but the preparation was very good and a big quality.

"To play in a game like this he prepared us very good, like you saw on the pitch. Everyone knew what they were meant to do which is why we got the result."

Chelsea are currently third in the Premier League.
