Pep Guardiola will reportedly turn down the chance to become Chelsea's new manager in favour of a break from football if the Spaniard decides to leave Barcelona.

Barcelona manager Pep Guardiola is reportedly prepared to turn down an offer to become Chelsea's new head coach if the Spaniard decides to quit the Nou Camp today.

Reports emerged yesterday casting doubt over Guardiola's future with the Spanish giants, citing tiredness as a contributing factor to his possible departure.

Chelsea have continuously been linked with a move for the three-time La Liga winner but it is believed that Guardiola will snub a switch to Stamford Bridge even if club owner Roman Abramovich offers a big-money contract, according to the Daily Star.

It is understood that the former Barca midfielder will opt for a sabbatical from the game and decide on where his future lies in the coming weeks.
