Steven Gerrard wants John Terry recall for Chelsea's clash with Arsenal

Steven Gerrard wants to see Jose Mourinho recall Chelsea captain John Terry for the weekend's clash with Arsenal.

Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard has said that he wants to see Jose Mourinho recall John Terry when Chelsea meet Arsenal this weekend.

The Chelsea captain was absent from the side that beat Maccabi Tel Aviv 4-0 in the Champions League on Wednesday, but Gerrard feels that the Blues skipper will be needed when the Gunners visit Stamford Bridge.

"I said before the game they just need minor tweaks and I don't think it's a crisis at Chelsea," Gerrard told BT Sport. "For me, he's got to go with what he trusts and I'd definitely bring JT back in and I'd look to go with experience, especially against Arsenal.

"They've got too many world-class players and powerful players in their squad for this to go on too long and it will be interesting to see what starting lineup [Mourinho] goes with against Arsenal because it is a totally different test against Arsenal."

Chelsea's win over Maccabi was their first victory at Stamford Bridge this season.
