Anton Ferdinand and John Terry to face court showdown

Ferdinand and Terry to face court showdown

Chelsea defender John Terry could face a court showdown with QPR's Anton Ferdinand after the England skipper learned that he will face a racial abuse charge.

Ferdinand has reportedly stated that he will testify against Terry "if required".

There are also fears that England's Euro 2012 challenge could be affected, with some black England stars reportedly ready to refuse to play for the national team if Terry is selected.

Terry profusely denies the charges, but will appear before West London magistrates on February 1.
