Didier Drogba: 'We can move on from defeat with win over Liverpool'

Chelsea striker Didier Drogba says that the club can put their FA Cup misery behind them by booking a place at Wembley with a League Cup win over Liverpool.

Chelsea striker Didier Drogba has urged his side to put their FA Cup fourth-round defeat to Bradford City behind them by beating Liverpool in the League Cup.

The Blues are currently tied at 1-1 going into the second leg at Stamford Bridge, with the Ivorian striker keen to secure a trip to Wembley.

"Of course we are not proud of what happened. We did not play our best football, we did not perform the way we wanted to perform," said Drogba, according to Sky Sports News.

"But you have to give credit to Bradford who came, and had a dream, and showed some courage. First they came not to lose, and during the game their ideas changed and they came to win. Congratulations to them.

"Everybody was disappointed but the good thing in football, especially English football, is in two days we have another game, so we have to focus on this game and try to play better than we did at the weekend."

Chelsea welcome Liverpool to London on Tuesday.
