David Luiz hails "magic" Chelsea

David Luiz hails the "magic" within the Chelsea team after recovering from a goal deficit to beat Liverpool 2-1 today.

Chelsea defender David Luiz has hailed the character of his teammates to recover from a goal deficit in the 2-1 victory over Liverpool at Stamford Bridge this evening.

Eden Hazard and Samuel Eto'o bagged first-half strikes to cancel out Martin Skrtel's fourth-minute opener and the Brazilian has labelled the spirit within the Blues' squad as "magic".

Consequently, Jose Mourinho's men finished the calendar year third-placed in the Premier League table, two points adrift of leaders Arsenal, and Luiz claims that the team will strive to overhaul the deficit.

He told reporters: "It was a very good win, we conceded early but showed a strong mentality and it was magic.

"I'm happy to have players like Eden [Hazard] in the team so we can see amazing football and we keep fighting. We are third in the league and we will keep on fighting."

Chelsea travel to the South Coast for a clash with Southampton on New Year's Day.
