Chelsea line up Antonio Conte as Jose Mourinho replacement?

Chelsea identify Italy coach Antonio Conte as a potential successor to Jose Mourinho, according to a report.

Chelsea have reportedly identified Italy coach Antonio Conte as a successor to manager Jose Mourinho.

The Blues, who won the Premier League title last season, are languishing in 16th place in the table after making a slow start to the new campaign, which has increased the pressure on Mourinho.

The Portuguese coach took charge at Stamford Bridge for a second time in 2013 and the club recently stated that the 52-year-old has their full backing.

Conte took charge of Italy last summer following a successful three-year spell at Juventus and has recently guided the Azzurri to qualification for Euro 2016.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Chelsea, along with Paris Saint-Germain, have made it clear that they would like to speak to Conte if they become managerless in the summer.

Conte has also been linked with AC Milan and Juventus.
