Cole fined £90,000 for offensive tweet

Chelsea defender Ashley Cole has been fined £90,000 for an offensive tweet that he made towards the Football Association.

The fine is in relation to Cole calling the Football Association a "bunch of twats" after an FA report was released regarding the John Terry racism case.

Cole was quick to apologise for the tweet and he admitted an FA charge of improper conduct and/or bringing the game into disrepute.

The 31-year-old has also been warned about his future conduct.

The charge did not prevent Cole from participating in England's 1-1 draw with Poland on Wednesday.
