Chelsea's Bertrand Traore granted work permit to play in England

Chelsea youngster Bertrand Traore is issued with a work permit, 17 months after signing for the Stamford Bridge outfit.

Chelsea youngster Bertrand Traore has been granted a work permit to play in England, 17 months after signing for the Premier League champions.

The 19-year-old put pen to paper on a four-and-a-half-year contract in January 2014 following his development at Auxerre.

However, the teen was not permitted to play as he had not featured in the required amount of games for his national side Burkina Faso to qualify for international clearance.

Now though, the teen has been issued with a work permit after Chelsea reapplied and the forward will be eligible to play in the Blues' pre-season tour of the United States next month, according to The Guardian.

Traore scored 17 goals in all competitions during a loan spell at Vitesse last season.
